Youth Board Mission Statement
The WASJA Youth Board aims to educate, empower, support, and advocate for youth social justice in regards to race, gender, immigration, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, LGBTQIA+ related matters, and any and all inequalities in the Wachusett and surrounding areas.
Educating youth on civic matters they may be unaware of, or of which they may lack a depth of knowledge.
Empowering youth to speak up and act by hosting events and creating a platform to share experiences.
Supporting youth through the creation of a network of help by youth, for youth to talk about similar experiences, ask questions, receive advice, and to build a sense of community
Advocating for youth who may be too afraid or who may lack the platform to speak up themselves.
